SportxX & Bike World Online shop
This project entailed redesigning the SportxX online shop, migrating all its content into a new CMS, and simultaneously launching a brand-new shop named BikeWorld for the Swiss retail giant Migros.
The initial problems
The visual redesign was only a small part of the challenge. The real complexity came from a new, pre-defined CMS and the scale of the existing catalogue. Over 8,000 products from the SportxX shop needed to be mapped, adapted, and migrated to the new system.
At the same time, BikeWorld was built from scratch. Both platforms were developed and launched in parallel by the same team, within a 12-month timeframe, requiring tight coordination, fast decisions, and workflows that could handle constant change.
Finding the solutions
With the CMS already locked in, flexibility was key. We adapted our processes to work within its constraints instead of against them.
We defined the core DNA of both brands and built a flexible system that could support two distinct brand structures without compromise. Shared components ensured efficiency, while clear design rules preserved each brand's identity. Design, migration, and build ran in parallel, allowing both platforms to be delivered on time.
Project outcomes
Both shops launched successfully at the end of the 12-month project. The system we delivered supported two distinct brand identities on a shared foundation and remained in use for years.
Despite tight timelines, a large product catalogue, and rigid CMS constraints, we delivered two scalable e-commerce platforms that transitioned SportxX smoothly and gave BikeWorld a clean, future-ready start.
